Privacy

Short version: no accounts, no ads, and we never ask for anything about you. We count visits with Google Analytics.

What we collect

Nothing you type in. Hello Coquitlam has no accounts, comments or sign-ups, and we never ask for your name, email or location.

Visitor stats

We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit and which sections they read, so we know what Coquitlam finds useful. It uses cookies and collects things like the pages you view, your device and browser type, and your approximate city (worked out from your IP address). We only look at totals, never at individual visitors, and we don't use it for advertising.

You can opt out any time with Google's browser add-on, by blocking cookies in your browser settings, or with a content blocker. You can read how Google handles this data in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Other services the page uses

Like any website, these services see your IP address when your browser connects to them.

Links to other sites

Every story links to the publisher who reported it. Once you click through, that site's own privacy policy applies.

Changes

If this changes, we'll update this page. Last updated October 2, 2026.
